Information

Released December 3, 2021 via S-Curve Records, “Glitter” is the lead single off Daisy the Great’s forthcoming sophomore album (set for release later this year).

S-Curve Records를 통해 2021년 12월 3일 발매된 곡 “Glitter” 는 Daisy the Great의 다가오는 2집 앨범의 리드 싱글이다. (앨범은 올해 말 발매를 앞두고 있다.)

“‘Glitter’ is about a night when you can’t sleep and you decide to stay up all night long,” the band tell Atwood Magazine. “It’s about the freedom, and chaos, and magic of being alone with yourself. It’s about the courage and compassion of committing to seeing the messy parts of you as beautiful. The music video for ‘Glitter’ was directed and edited by the two of us (Kelley and Mina), and it’s about a sleepless night in our messy house as objects start to morph into our the Daisy the Great band members – and by morning, we form our band.”

Sometimes glitter can be a coverup, but when used at its best, it’s used to enhance the beauty that’s already there. “Glitter” is about celebrating all that we are: Faults, flaws, and all.

때로는 반짝이가 감추는 역할을 할 때도 있겠지만, 가장 좋게 사용될 때는 이미 존재하는 아름다움을 한층 강화하는 역할을 한다. “Glitter”는 실수, 결함, 그 외의 것들을 포함하여 우리의 모든 것을 축하하는 곡이다.

물체에서 사람으로 변한 4명이 영상 속에서 맡은 세션은 실제로 Daisy the Great와 함께 공연을 할 때 구성되는 라인업이다. 즉 Matti Dunietz(대걸레)는 퍼커션, Matt Lau(죽은 식물)는 기타, Bernardo Ochoa(셔츠)는 베이스, Briana Archer(거울 속 여성)는 보컬을 맡는다.
